mood and emotion- week 11

This week I feel that I have done quite a lot of work, I have made sure that I have worked on my project every day. I have finished two design development sheets and started on my first final design sheet, I am happy to have started these final design sheets, because I am using the patterns on these sheets as my screen print, so once I have finished these sheets I can hand my screen print in to be put on a screen and then I can start with my samples.

We have been back at college this week; it has been our tenth week which is very scary to think about. On Monday we had a group assessment where we showed our peers our work, it made me realise that I probably don’t have ten weeks of work, and so I am going to make sure that I am working on my project everyday now to get the best grades possible. Also this week I have done some work in my sketchbook and started my second design development sheet.

This week has been our ninth week on our final major project, it has been our second week of our holidays too so I have just been doing work in my sketchbook and working on samples on the sewing machine.

This has been the 8^th week on our final major project, it has also been the first week of our holidays, but nevertheless I have still been doing work, this week I have done quite a lot of sketchbook work, I also caught up on my journal. I did some work in my professional practise folder too!

This week has been our 7^th week; I can’t believe we are already over half way through our project.  This week has been the holidays, I have got another 2 sheets done, I also did some work in my sketchbook, I have even done a few samples on my sewing machine.

We have had our sixth week on the project now, and this week I have been doing more sheet work. I have finished my research sheet of and done an artist research sheet. Also this week we had a full day of doing our professional practice folders, which is another unit we need to cover on this course, our teacher felt we were getting a little behind on this unit so let us have a day to do just this. It was really useful and I got caught up.

This has been our fifth week on our final major project, and I must say, the weeks are going by much faster than I thought they would. This week I have started on my sheet work, I have managed to finish one research sheet and start a second one.

This week was our fourth week. On Wednesday I had a university interview at the University of Huddersfield, it went very well and I’m please to say that I got a conditional offer. Also this week I have made my questionnaire that I am going to be giving out to people for my primary research. It is a simple questionnaire asking people what colour and object they think represents what mood.

This is our third week on this project, and this week I have been on a college trip to London, we went for 2 days, so whilst I was here I tried to gather as much primary research as possible. Also I have finished writing my proposal, I found it quite difficult to write as I had never done anything like this before, but after some guidance and a little patience I got through it and my proposal is now being sent to the examiners to be checked.

This is the second week in our project but it is also half term, as I haven’t even written my proposal yet I can’t really do that much but I have started to do a bit of work in sketchbook and just try and gather some ideas for what I could do in my project.

mood and emotion- week 1

So this is my first week on my project and I am very excited about the forthcoming weeks I have on this project. But this week we have been writing our first drafts for our proposals for the briefs for our projects. We have really just been researching into what we want to do, jotting down ideas and making notes so that by the end of the 3^rd week we have written our proposals.

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT- MOOD AND EMOTION

We are now onto our final major project, for this we get to write our own brief and create whatever we like at the end of it. For my project I am going to research into mood and emotion, our mood an emotions come into everything we do in life including our art, so I am researching how art can be inspired by our mood and emotions, I am also linking this with colour theory, what colour represents happiness or sadness? These are just a couple of the questions I will be asking throughout this project.

I want to create a questionnaire for people to fill in, this will be my primary research I will take my findings from the questionnaire and develop them into patterns to hopefully go on my final piece

For my final piece I would love to create 3, 1 metre long hangings, each one representing a different mood and emotion.
